The Point At Which It's Really Just Laziness After All

El 3atal and I were out getting him some shawarma the other day. We had pulled up and parked in the small street near the vendor. Across the street from us was a nice big place (we probably could havefit the BeanMobile into it, it was that big). I thought, well how nice for someone with a small car. And, someone is just such a car pulled up. And, what do you think he did? Did he take the 3 seconds to properly parallel park the car? No, indeed he did not. I've dropped in a picture from my cell phone.

Yes, that's right. He puled head first ONTO the sidewalk almost up to the door of the shop. And parked there. Like that. You know, that is the point at which it's really just plain rude, inconsiderate, laziness...

Well, you r absolutely right... It is rude, but this is our porblem, Jordanians, we are rude as we think that we have the right to do whatever we want. But the BIG problem is with the education, and here I mean personal moral education, at home, since most people teach their children that they can do what they want. But at the same time, we say that we are really attached to religion, Christianity and Islam, religions that ask for the Respect of the other, and of the Law. You see, we Jordanians are such a contradictory people, and well, to be frank, we are somehow stupid as a society. I am talking here about social intellegence, and the intellegence of a group, which is so much different from individual intellegence (so no offense against any person, I am Jordanian myself). This is the reality, and as long as this doesn't change, we are going to get worse with time.

Happy stupidity...

Qwaider, yes it's paved... no issue, he just pulled onto the sidewalk.

Ahmad, thanks for your comment. I can not disagree. Happy stupidity indeed.

Don't worry. You're not alone. They do stuff like that here in France all the time too.
