Candlelight Vigil for Gaza: Another Way to Show You Care

The YWCA of Jordan will be hosting a Candlelight Vigil for Gaza as noted on the invitation below. Join these ladies, these mothers, these sisters, these aunts. After all, the hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world.

I understand that the YWCA will also be collecting money for supplies such as wheelchairs and other necessities for those in Gaza to be administered through the YWCA in Palestine directly. For more information, call the YWCA offices at 465-5476.

Happy Lighting!

It's great to know that the YWCA is collecting money for supplies, wheelchairs, ect. However how will the people in Gaza receive them if the IDF is not even allowing any supplies into Gaza? Certainly you are aware how they "inspect" any humanitarian materials going to Gaza.

Umm F, I'll be answering ;).

Anon, my understanding is that the YWCA in the West Bank has a special relationship and is able to get them in. I also know that they will find a way...

Jad, come, please. I am positive it is not only open to ladies.

Thanks to you MommaBean, and thanks to all your friends that have written back.

Welcome all, Men, Women and Children, members, friends and all.

As MommaBean said it is through the YWCA of Palestine who will be in control to buy the wheel chairs, hearing aids, blankets etc..

It does not have to be today, unfortunately, it will have to be once things settle a bit since we want to be sure it will get there.

Thanks a million again.

Leila
